Recycling, Saving & Planting Trees
We recognise the need to protect trees and our ozone layer. It has always been our policy to fully recycle all of the paper that we collect by baling and recycling.
Once destroyed, your declassified materials return as paper products - reducing the demand for wood based paper, preserving trees and helping to protect the environment. All the paper we shred is recycled into paper products.
With every tonne of paper that is recycled, up to 17 mature trees are saved from unnecessary destruction. Over the course of a year, this saves us not only energy but also thousands of trees.
Furthermore, producing one tonne of recycled paper takes less energy and produces less pollution.
- 64% less energy
- 50% less water
- 74% less air pollution
To encourage all of our customers to help with our recycling policy, we provide a "Trees Saving Certificate" that confirms the actual number of trees you have saved through our joint recycling efforts.
And each year, we run a tree planting scheme on behalf of all of our customers to re-affirm our commitment.
